Sarah grew up in Durham and lived in the Whitby area for over 20 years before relocating to Clarington.
After obtaining a diploma from Durham College’s paralegal program in 2003, Sarah ventured off to England to continue her legal studies. In 2006, she obtained her law degree from the University of Essex in Colchester, England, and returned home to complete her qualifications before being called to the Ontario bar in 2009. As a new lawyer, Sarah made the decision to focus her legal practice on matters relating to Wills and Estates.
Sarah joined Jenkins & Newman in 2011. Following in Jennfer Jenkins’ footsteps, Sarah has also been a guest speaker and contributor for the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario on matters related to Wills and Estates. She believes in the importance of a good estate plan, something she places great emphasis on in her presentations with the Lakeridge Health Network, Alzheimer Society of Durham Region, the Toronto Library, and local churches.
In addition to her commitment to the area of Wills and Estates, Sarah spent over a decade as a volunteer with the Youth Justice Committee. She has been a member of several advisory committees for the Ontario Bar Association and currently sits as a member of the Bowmanville Hospital Planned Giving Committee.
When she isn’t at the office, Sarah enjoys camping and spending time with her family on their hobby farm.
