OUR TEAM

Sandra (“Sandy”) is a graduate of Western University's law school, where she ranked in the top 10 students in 1990.  She has a business diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master's degree from University of Ontario Institute of Technology.   She has a background in class action litigation, corporate structuring and environmental compliance, having worked for a specialized firm in downtown Toronto as well as in-house counsel for a charity overseas.  

Wills and Estates has long been her passion.  Since joining JNS Law in 2023, Sandy has been actively involved in estate ligation matters including dependent relief claims, removal & replacement of executors, passing of accounts, and guardianship applications.  Sandy also advises clients with complex estate planning needs. 

Sandy believes that the law should better people's lives and is currently a professor and the coordinator of the Paralegal Program at Durham College.  She has contributed to several community development initiatives, such as the Durham Community Legal Clinic and the Oshawa Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.  

Sandy has lived in the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East and travelled extensively in Asia.  She loves great food, live music, and furry dogs, but her greatest pleasure is spending time with her grandchildren.
