Katelyn graduated with honours in 2018 from Durham College's Law Clerk - Advanced program. Before entering the legal field, she also studied history at Carleton University in Ottawa. 

She first dipped her toes into law via the area of insurance defence litigation at a large downtown Toronto firm, before transitioning to a role as a legal assistant in Wills and Estates. In 2022, Katelyn joined JNS Law, where she first managed the high demands of the reception desk, before settling in as a law clerk in our Newcastle office. 

Over the course of her eight-year career, Katelyn has developed a broad range of experience in many areas, including drafting testamentary documents, managing various estate administration files, and preparing and filing Court application materials in litigation matters.

Katelyn is a strong advocate for justice. She believes that the legal system should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their social, educational, or financial status.

When she's not in the office, Katelyn is an avid reader, amateur writer, and novice graphic designer. An investigator at heart, she one day hopes to throw her hat into the podcasting ring with a show examining some of history's greatest mysteries.
